RESISTOFLEX was founded in 1947 by Late Mr. R.K. Jain after graduating in
Electrical & Mechanical Engineering from BHU, India. He was joined by Mr. Ratish
Jain, B.Tech & Silver medallist from IIT Delhi. He forged several alliances with
globally acclaimed companies in related fields. Further, RESISTOFLEX was
co-opted to the Mechanical Vibration and Shock Sectional Committee of Bureau of
Indian Standards.
RESISTOFLEX offers complete engineering services which includes: Diagnostic
Investigation, Technical Analysis, System Design, Supervision of Installation,
Performance Evaluation & Post Monitoring.

Seismic Isolation
Earthquakes shake the structure in the lateral and vertical direction. The
lateral force applied is proportional to the mass of the structure and the
ground acceleration. The earthquake-induced forces are dissipated by damage to
structural elements. Structures may or may not collapse but mostly become unfit
for general use and will need evacuation for repair. The losses due to these
downtimes are significant.
Moreover, in hospital buildings where the cost of acceleration-sensitive
non-structural elements is much higher than the structure cost itself, the
losses are enormous.
Seismic base isolation technology decouples the structure from earthquake
shaking using an appropriate isolation system. With our wide range of options
available, the acceleration imparted to the structure is significantly less,
thereby protecting not only the non-structural elements but also keeping the
structure in continued operation mode. We provide the design and supply of
isolating essential services such as lifts, staircases, pipelines, and conduits
to achieve undisrupted building functioning.

Building
Introducing Resistoflex Showcase Building, India's first Earthquake-Isolated
Corporate Building-On-Bearings, in collaboration with Indian Institute of
Technology(IIT), Delhi.
The clear objective for this Landmark project is to objectively demonstrate Base
Isolation Technology and its Techno Economic advantages.
This building is our new corporate office as of May 2021 and is designed to be an
always operational building and will continue to remain functional even in case of
severe earthquakes predicted for Zone 4.
The building is erected on Pendulum isolators, developed by HIRUN International, a
fortune 500 enterprise. The building is de-coupled from the ground movement using
the isolators.
During the course of an earthquake, the entire energy of the earthquake is
dissipated through the isolators which makes the entire superstructure of the
building highly safe and operational during the earthquake.
Also, the building consists of an active Lift Isolation system, Staircase Isolation
system and Flexible Piping System.
A special feature being added to this building is to integrate sensors to instantly
convey to all stakeholders and occupants through mobiles and internet about the
incoming Seismic intensity, making it a true Seismic Smart Building
